How to relieve your pet’s stress on the road of visiting vet?

1. Make a head-to-tail check for you pets usually at home, to help them adapt in advance. This will also help you discover the hidden problems on your pets.

2. Let your pets be happy to enter the carrier, instead of visiting vet only. In a spare time, you can carry pet to a comfortable and quiet place, having a picnic, eating some snacks.

3. Many cats don’t like car, plus the journey to visit vet deepens their dislike of cars. The unknown sense of waiting makes human fear, let alone a cat. Before entering in the car, you can play with your cat using the toys it likes. Others, you can bring your pet’s favorite blanket together with it, which can also make pet less streeful in the car.

4. Faced with the barking and yelling at the pet hospitalt, your pet will get nervous The best way is leave your pet in the carrier rather than take them out in the waiting room.

5. When the vet visits, you can wrap your pet’sfavorite blanket around it and make it feel comfortable and less streeful.

According to Jessica Beymer, DVM, of the Contra Costa Veterinary Emergency Center in Concord, Calif., hard carriers are a good option since they have a top-loading feature that makes it easy to lift out a scared cat. Beymer also recommends covering the carrier with a towel or blanket - preferably one with the scent of home - in order to limit stimuli in the waiting room, which can be agitating for an anxious animal.
